Smart City Berlin 2030

Where are Berlin’s future sites of transformation? And what are the innovative projects?

BrainBox is a 10 Meter high cube and a unique space, in which mobility, climate adaptation and many other urban topics can be experienced in context. With the help of a multimedia system, a 3D-city model, and an interactive table, visitors can inform themselves about on-going and planned smart projects in Berlin and even develop their own urban narratives for the city.

At the same time, we will critically reflect on the impact of the "Smart City" development model as a post-fossil and digitally connected living environment on Berlin by 2030.

Everyday between 12 – 2pm, the BrainBox will host an exciting line up of speakers during its "TU Lunch Talks". Different departments of the TU Berlin Smart City Platform will provide insight into their current research projects through brief Pecha Kucha presentations and will join into a lively discussion with a variety of key actors in Berlin and visitors of the fair.

Outside the speaker programme, the exhibition programme also includes live demonstrations, scenario games, and artistic performances, which animate the audience to participate and give the visitors a glimpse of new ways and approaches for smart city planning in the future.
