Program
Since 1997, the Asia-Pacific Weeks Berlin (APW) are a success story and an international trade mark for dialogue and cooperation with the Asia-Pacific-Region. Economic, cultural, scientific, political and social events are integrated under the umbrella brand and are giving the unique opportunity to network.
In 2015, the event addresses again the topic of ‘smart cities’. For the first time combined with the leading trade fair for urban infrastructure Metropolitan Solutions (20. – 22.05.2015), Berlin becomes the center of Smart City conferences, exhibitions and application sites. Visitors of the APW and Metropolitan Solutions experience a unique triad of events, fair and metropolis.
Main Events are: The Opening Ceremony on the 18th of May, 2015 (Addresses of high-ranking representatives from Federal Ministries and Asian guests of honour), the Asia-Pacific Embassy Day on the 19th of May, 2015 and expert tours to innovative flagship sites on the 21st and 22nd of May, 2015. The second week addresses the transfer of innovation between science and business in a two-day panel with innovation labs and start-up companies from Germany and Asia (in cooperation with TriNet global, Connective Cities, TU Berlin, HWR and other scientific partners).
The range of offers is complemented by a comprehensive program in cooperation with further event partners in economics, science and culture.
Admission to all events is free of charge. An advance registration is required under www.apwberlin.de
Target Groups
The APW is directed at actors from economics, science, politics and culture, at representatives from politics, associations and institutions with demand or offer for information on the topic ‘smart cities’ and companies, investors, SMEs and start-up companies.
